As outbreaks of Avian Influenza continue to occur across Asia and into Europe, farm disinfection and sanitization is essential to controlling the spread of the virus. Dow offers two distinct product lines under the GLUTEX brand, specifically designed for animal housing biosecurity. GLUTEX sanitizers are proprietary formulated concentrates that contain the highly effective proven broad spectrum microbiocide glutaraldehyde with other efficacy enhancing additives. GLUTEX sanitizers were previously sold as UCARSAN™ sanitizers. In addition, the new range of GLUTEX antimicrobials, offers a line of pre-formulated, easy-to-use products that combine the highly-effective, broad spectrum microbiocide glutaraldehyde with patented G-cide complex GX+ technology1. The exceptional germicidal efficacy and killing power of the GLUTEX products — used with education protocol materials from Dow Biocides — helps farmers implement complete disinfection and sanitization programs and maintain the livelihood of their farms.
Tested by Southern Research Institute (SRI), a Center for Disease Control (CDC) certified laboratory, and endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO), glutaraldehyde-based products such as Dow’s GLUTEX family, provide some of the most efficacious disinfection on the market, with research data proving efficacy against 14 major viruses. And with the added GX+G-cide technology, Dow Biocides is now equipped to offer the product in ready-to-use formulations.
