Hahnville, LA - February 28, 2008

More than 50 Dow Chemical Company employees from around the world will spend Thursday afternoon working at New Orleans City Park. The volunteers are members of Dow’s Performance and Specialty Chemicals Business and are holding an annual business meeting this week at Dow’s St. Charles Operations facility in St. Charles Parish. The afternoon project at City Park will conclude the week-long meeting. Fernando Signorini, a Production Leader for the Dow business said, “Our business team wanted to do something to help the City and because of Dow’s existing connection with City Park, we thought this would be a great way to show our support.”

In early November, The Dow Chemical Company Foundation made a contribution of $400,000 to City Park to rebuild the park’s Ferris Wheel, which is scheduled to be open this Spring, and sponsor the annual holiday event Celebration in the Oaks.
