Dow’s raw material and energy costs for polystyrene have steadily increased over the last weeks and the polystyrene margins are at unsustainably low levels.  As a result, Dow Europe GmbH is announcing a price increase across the European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian regions for polystyrene resins.

Effective February 1, 2009, or as contract terms allow, Dow Europe GmbH will increase its polystyrene prices by 70 Euro per metric ton for all general purpose and high impact STYRON™ polystyrene resins and STYRON™ A-TECH™ advanced technology polystyrene resins.
