Dow Europe GmbH is announcing a price increase across the European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian regions for its polystyrene resins. This is due to Dow’s continuing increase in energy and raw material costs for polystyrene which worsened the already unsustainable polystyrene margins.

Effective March 1, 2009, or as contract terms allow, Dow Europe GmbH will increase its polystyrene prices by 60 Euro per metric ton for all general purpose and high impact STYRON™ polystyrene resins and STYRON™ A-TECH™ advanced technology polystyrene resins.
